Ghislaine was born in Laren, the Netherlands in 1963. She lived in 5 countries in Europe and Central Africa before settling in the United States, the last few years have been spent in Colorado. She received a B.F.A. from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn NY , and more recently spent a year studying at the National Academy School in the Studio Intensive Program, as well as taking classes at the New York School of the Arts.

Her work is held in private collections in the United States, Europe, and Asia.
